An exciting project

Happy New Year! January is going to be busy: firstly, getting everything ready to exhibit at the California book fair next month and secondly, recording a CD of my music with the wonderful ensemble London Choral Sinfonia.  It’s hard to believe that’s it’s almost twenty years since I wrote Advent Calendar, one of my first pieces.  Since then, alongside building my business as an antiquarian bookseller, I have been trying to find my voice as a composer and writing more music.  Performances by various groups, on both sides of the Atlantic, have followed, but making a recording of my music feels like a culmination of the creative thoughts and inspiration I have had over the years and I’m excited to see it come to fruition.

However, making a CD is an expensive business.  Funding has already been secured for 50% of the cost of the project, but if anyone out there would like to help towards the rest, any donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! And here’s to a productive 2025.
